Auntie Gina's Visit

We are so thankful that Auntie Gina was able to come for a visit! Gina was able to come for two weeks! She was such a BIG help! She watched Gage during some of the night and day allowing Mike and I to get plenty of rest! It was so nice having that luxury of getting plenty of sleep! She was such a help for me doing diaper changes and feedings during my recovery! We love Aunite Gina and want her back!! We can't wait for Uncle Robert to come in December and meet Gage!! Gina get ready for more diapers in December! :) Mike misses his dishwasher!!

Gage Michael Blank
was born on September 21 at 2:35 p.m.
7 lbs. 7 oz. and 20 1/2 inches long
It was a long road to get him here, but worth every minute!

Here is the Short Version:
At 38 weeks pregnant Mike and I had a doctor's appointment on Wednesday. We had a doc appt. every week up until this point and every appointment had been great. Well this time around was a little different. When we arrived they weighed me...yuck...and took my blood pressure like usual except this time my blood pressure was high. They decided to take my blood pressure every ten minutes for an hour. Still high, so they sent us to the hospital. Ask me about it when you see me because the following days could be made into a book...basically after 2 ultrasounds, 24 hour urine test, 3 cervidils, 1 foli-bulb, 4 sessions of 12 hours of not eating, days on pitocin, breaking my water at 5 cm, epidural at 7 cm, 6 days of procedures, labor, and hunger (thank goodness for my family...we played games and visited), swelling like a whale (seriously, I could barely walk)...All Thanks to Preeclampsia...and finally a painful c-section (I could feel too much and so they had to give me extra pain medication, which is why I am asleep in most of my pictures during delivery)...and finally at 2:35 on Monday, Gage was born! Followed by more days in the hospital because my blood pressure was still high...and finally on Friday we were all able to go home!! By the way, my husband is seriously the best nurse in the entire world, so if you ever have to go to Tampa General...look him up! He was so patient, loving, and caring the entire time!! My family was awesome during this time too! They arrived on Thursday and entertained me during the long hospital stay...they left to go back home late Sunday night, and when they got home, Mike called to update them and told them I was 5 cm dialated...my mom and dad came right back down at 3 in the morning...they live 3 hours away mind you :) I love them!!

Halfway To Mommy & Daddy Status!!

5 Month Picture!! Look at that spine! So Cool!

3 Month Picture!! He looks like a little Michael!

The First Picture!! Our Little Gummy Bear :)

We are expecting!! We are halfway into our pregnancy and lots of new changes are happening!! We are having a Boy!!
He doesn't officially have a name yet, but his nickname is G.B. When we had our very first ultrasound the nurse told us he was about half an inch long with tiny little arms and legs so he acquired the name Gummy Bear. Now everyone calls him G.B.! :)
Kick...Kick...
We felt him kick the very first time in the movie theater. We went to see Star Trek with my mom and Latoya. All of a sudden the boy started to kick like crazy! I was so excited so I reached for Mike's hand and I think he thought I was pulling on his hand to hold it, but I kept pulling...so after a few seconds of pulling I grabbed his hand across the seat and put it on my tummy. Mike and I were so excited!
So many things to come :) We can't wait for what the next few months have in store for us!!
